Learning to sew opens up a whole new world of creative opportunities. It takes practice, but with a little guidance, you can transform a piece of fabric into something useful, beautiful and unique. Learning to sew is both practical and social, a way to learn a new skill, be creative and make friends.
ShooSo by Lucia are holding an after-school sewing club for all little sewing bees aged 7 and over.
After learning how to safely and successfully use a sewing machine, the girls and boys will make items out of simple materials and have lots of fun being creative.
The Mini Sewing Bee caters for up to 6 children per session, each session lasts 75 minutes.
Cost is £7 per child with all materials, equipment and sewing machines included in the price.
If you are a complete beginner who has never used a sewing machine or want to brush off the cobwebs and improve your sewing skills ShooSo by Lucia is for you.
We can offer a variety of classes and workshops to suit beginner and intermediate sewing abilities.
In September 2018, ShooSo by Lucia in partnership with The Underground Centre formed The Kings Cliffe Sewing Bee aiming to make some simple items and sell them to raise funds to support our village organisations. Great way to meet new people and learn or share a skill.
We are meeting every Thursday 7:30 pm at the Underground Centre. Fabric, equipment and refreshments are provided! All welcome - of all ages and all sewing abilities!
